We are seeking an experienced agricultural professional to serve as an Agri-Data Analyst Program Evaluator. This role is crucial in assessing and enhancing our program that bridges traditional agricultural practices with modern data analysis techniques, while ensuring compliance with Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture, combined with an understanding of data analytics applications in farming and familiarity with PTIB requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in agriculture, with exposure to data analysis or AgriTech applications.
  • Familiarity with PTIB standards and curriculum development (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques used in agriculture.
  • Experience with agricultural management systems and decision support tools is an asset.

DESIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Comprehensive understanding of agricultural practices, including crop and livestock management, soil science, and sustainable farming methods.
  • Strong knowledge of data-driven decision-making in agriculture, including precision farming and sustainability metrics.
  • Familiarity with data collection and analysis techniques specific to agricultural applications.
  • Ability to create actionable and engaging educational content that bridges traditional agriculture with modern data analytics.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to collaborate effectively with academic teams.
  • In-depth understanding of current challenges and opportunities in the agricultural sector, including climate change adaptation, resource management, and food security issues.
  • Experience in implementing or overseeing data-driven projects in real-world agricultural settings.

  • Evaluate the Agri-Data Analyst program curriculum to ensure it meets industry standards, practical agricultural needs, and PTIB requirements.

  • Review course materials for relevance to current farming practices and emerging agricultural trends.
  • Provide recommendations for incorporating real-world agricultural scenarios into data analysis exercises.
  • Ensure the program adequately covers sustainable farming practices and their data implications.
  • Collaborate with the compliance team to design and develop the program curriculum for Agri-Data Analyst training.
  • Ensure course content and learning objectives align with PTIB standards and industry requirements.
  • Provide insights into the practical application of data analytics tools in agricultural settings, such as crop management, yield optimization, and resource allocation.
  • Develop practical, industry-focused modules that prepare students for roles in data-driven agriculture.
  • Attend a campus meeting in Vancouver to present recommendations and finalize deliverables.
