AGRI FEEDSTOCK MANAGER

To provide detailed support and assistance to the Commercial Director, Biogen is looking for a Agri Feedstocks Manager to lead the sourcing and management of agricultural feedstocks across our national network of anaerobic digestion (AD) plants. This is a key role ensuring the continuity, quality, and sustainability of feedstock supply to meet our biomethane production targets.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the Agri Feedstocks Manager, you will be responsible for securing and managing the supply of agricultural feedstocks across Biogen’s network of anaerobic digestion (AD) plants. This includes building strong relationships with farmers, landowners, and aggregators, overseeing delivery schedules and stock levels, and ensuring all feedstock meets contractual and quality standards. You’ll play a key role in contract management, sustainability compliance, and performance reporting, while collaborating closely with site managers and the commercial team to support operational efficiency and business growth.
The successful candidate will have a strong agricultural background with a deep understanding of crop nutrition, growing cycles, and their application in biogas systems. They will be commercially astute, experienced in managing supplier relationships and contracts, and confident in navigating the complexities of feedstock logistics across multiple sites. A proactive problem-solver, they will demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Ideally, they will hold FACTS and BASIS qualifications, be familiar with ISO and sustainability standards
This role involves regular travel across the Company’s national network of AD sites. The contracted base location can be flexible, depending on the successful candidate’s home location, occasional attendance at Head Office will be required. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally are essential.
