Ponto International offers a junior-level opportunity in the growing business of international bulk health food trade. Ponto is a company that provides sourcing, marketing, and market information services to the international health food industry.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Based in Vancouver (valid work permit required) with the ability to work flexible hours from home office with reliable internet.
• Excellent written and spoken English (including grammar and style), Vietnamese a strong advantage, Spanish helpful.
• Uncompromisable attention to detail.
• Strong project management skills.
• Able to work well on your own initiative and with your own independent schedule, from anywhere in the world.
• Interest in agriculture, food safety, cultural diversity. Must enjoy connecting different cultures around the world via international trade.
• Tech-savvy, eager and curious to use emerging AI tools.
• Interested in being part of a small, growing company with opportunities to grow and take on new responsibilities.
• Must be ready to work part-time for 2-3 months and undergo a minimum 4-week selection process (both in-person and remotely)

Experience:

• Manage global container shipments of bulk seeds, nuts and dried fruit, in liaison with exporters and importers around the world. This includes managing shipments from origin to final delivery, providing post-sales support, and updating CRM data.
• Collect, review and submit shipping documents, food safety and quality management documents of health food exporters to health food buyers.
• Collect market information on seeds, nuts and dried fruit including crop updates, supply-demand projections, and disseminate to Ponto clients around the world.
• Prepare and confirm offers of bulk nuts, seeds and dried fruit shipments to Ponto clients and provide post-sales support, including vendor verification and claim resolution.
• Provide administrative support to Ponto Executive Management.
