Responsibilities

THE MAIN DUTIES FOR THIS ROLE ARE AS FOLLOWS:

  • Ability to perform repairs and maintenance on agricultural machinery and equipment
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems ensuring that they are reported and rectified
  • Carry out servicing work on the full range of machinery the dealership supports
  • Carry out a wide range of testing on hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical circuits
  • Carry out pre delivery inspections (PDI) on new and used equipment
  • Completion of work-related administrative checks such as job cards and vehicle safety checks
  • Promote the company’s Service department, to ensure customer loyalty and satisfaction
  • Willingness to do weekend work on a rota basis and extended harvest hours when necessary

IDEALLY TO FULFIL THIS ROLE YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Have knowledge, experience and a passion for the agricultural machinery industry (CNH knowledge would be beneficial but not essential and candidates from similar industries will be considered i.e. plant, automotive and construction)
  • Relevant qualifications within the field of Level 2 or higher in Land Based Engineering
  • A good sense of humour and a can do attitude with the ability to get the job done under pressure
  • The ability to work autonomously on site and as part of a team within a workshop environment
  • The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships and create excellent rapport with customers & suppliers
  • Focused on striving for excellence
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • IT Literate with a keen eye for detail
  • A full UK Driving Licence
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude in both workshop and on on site
