Based on-site at our Ballarat plant, this is a hands-on role where you’ll support the local Agriculture team with the systems, data and processes that support our potato supply. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with systems, data and processes, and can build best practices for continuous improvement in administration and operations within a global FMCG business. Reporting to the Agriculture Manager (Australia), you’ll work closely with the local Agriculture team, including agronomists and supply leaders, while being part of the broader McCain Agriculture function. A big part of the role involves working in our Potato Contracting and Receiving (PCR) system – ensuring load, grading and grower information is accurate and up to date, which directly impacts grower payments and supply tracking. You’ll spend most of your time working across systems, handling data and supporting key operational processes, and interaction with internal agriculture teams, other parts of the McCain operation, and growers. This role also supports our digital agriculture platforms, acting as the key liaison for the agriculture team and growers adopting digital solutions and advancing operational excellence in agriculture. What you’ll be doing. Manage all day-to-day administration for the Agriculture Function, ensuring efficient operational support. Process, manage and reconcile potato load information in the PCR system (allocation, grading and validation) including grower contract setup Ensure accuracy of data flowing from weighbridge and quality systems into PCR and other systems Guarantee accurate and timely payments through invoice generation (mid and end of month cycles) Process payments for vendors, contractors and services Investigate, trouble shoot and resolve discrepancies and implement best practises Maintain accurate records and support reporting requirements in grower accounts and digital records across platforms such as PC&R and GX Core. Provide support for digital agriculture platforms, including basic troubleshooting and assisting growers where needed Support company policy, Health & Safety, and Food Safety Management System compliance. Build strong working relationships with the local agriculture team and internal stakeholders What you’ll need to be successful. Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel and working across multiple systems Experience in an administration or operations role with high attention to detail Experience with invoicing, payments or purchase orders is highly regarded Ability to pick up new systems quickly (training provided on PCR) Strong problem-solving skills and ability to investigate discrepancies Clear communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team Comfortable working in a role that is largely computer-based and process-driven Experience working in a high-volume, detail-focused environment is highly regarded About the team. You’ll be part of a close-knit Ballarat Agriculture team, working alongside agronomists and managers who are focused on delivering high-quality supply while supporting our grower network, while also being part of the broader McCain Agriculture function.
