Description

[What the role is] Research Engineer [What you will be working on] • Collaborate with the Project Leader to execute the MOE-TIF project on AI-driven optimization of aeroponic systems. • Manage and operate aeroponic cultivation systems for leafy vegetables and high-value fruiting crops. • Design and conduct experiments to investigate plant physiological responses under different spray regimes and nutrient formulations. • Monitor plant growth parameters, nutrient uptake efficiency, and environmental conditions to support AI model training. • Plan and execute experiments, prepare progress reports, and provide regular updates on project milestones. • Assist in system installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and modification of aeroponic equipment. • Document experimental data, analyse results, and contribute to project reports and publications. • Coordinate with industrial collaborators and support pilot testing at partner farm sites. • Manage procurement processes, including liaising with vendors, sourcing materials, equipment, and testing supplies, and raising purchase requests. • Document and track project issues, expenses, budget, action logs, and equipment maintenance. • Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Project Leader.
