Are you a hands-on professional with a strong work ethic and a focus on exceptional customer service? Do you take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment? Join our Lacombe Agro Team as an Agro Operations II. We’re looking for a motivated individual who’s ready to support day-to-day operations, assist with fleet and equipment upkeep, and contribute to a positive customer experience both on site and on the road.
Position: Agro Operations II
Full-time: 40 hours per week. Eligible for benefits after 3 months. If you are relocating from another province, please ensure you have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.
Availability: Weekdays

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma is preferred.
  • Class 3 driver’s license is required.
  • Class 1 driver’s license is preferred.
  • Must provide an acceptable driver’s abstract upon hire.
  • Completion of TDG and WHMIS in the first months of employment is a requirement.
  • Mechanical knowledge is mandatory.
  • Experience in customer service and agriculture is preferred.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service to guests on site and while delivering products.
  • Lead the maintenance of fleet, equipment and assets to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Ensure that all equipment is operated in a safe and responsible manner and complete training for such equipment when required.
  • Be familiar with all products and keep current with all commodities offered at the location.
  • Provide input for improving processes and procedures that could be made to the operations.
  • Be familiar with and adhere to Central Alberta Co-op policies and procedures.
  • Be knowledgeable in the fertilizer plant operation including blending, unloading and loading customers.
  • Provide guidance to operations summer students as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.
