Description Primary Objectives of the Position: This position is responsible for invoicing, managing bookings and prepays, inventory management, reconcilating reports, performing data entry, answering phone calls and providing customer service to agronomy customers. Ensures accurate and efficient processing of agronomy transactions. Provides administrative support to sales team and company management. Major Areas of Accountability: Invoice, record and reconcile purchases, sales and inventory transactions in the accounting system. Take payments from customers. Process and help manage bookings and prepays. Input shipment data for both in house and direct locations. Make chemical delivery tickets. Data entry into various programs to track and report daily activity. Assist in the end of month process. Provide customer service by person, phone, and electronically. Provide administrative support to agronomy account managers. Maintain up to date customer information. Electronically file accounting documents. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls. Stay informed about industry developments, market trends, and regulatory changes affecting agronomy accounting practices. Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in agronomy accounting procedures. Attend appropriate training sessions. Other duties and projects as assigned. Requirements Basic Qualifications: Post secondary education at the college level in accounting or agri-business. Experience may be substituted for education. Experience working in an accounting support or administrative assistant role. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Ability to learn specialized accounting software used in the agronomy department. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Value-Added Qualifications: · Cooperative experience and/or an agricultural background is desired. · Knowledge of agronomy products and services is beneficial. · Knowledge of AgVantage accounting software is helpful. Other: Must attend all training sessions required by law. Must comply with all safety regulations and policies of the company. Must have good finger dexterity. Must be able to operate all office equipment.
