Job Description Summary The Assistant Agronomy is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all agronomic activities within the division to ensure optimal crop management, efficient resource allocation, and compliance with agronomy standards. This role oversees budgeting, work planning, labor and material management, operational control, and performance monitoring to support the division’s productivity and sustainability goals. Job Description: Arrange budgets and monthly operational plans based on field conditions and agronomy standards. Develop monthly and daily work plans aligned with division targets and current field needs. Coordinate Mandor and Kerani to ensure daily work plans (RKH) are executed effectively. Ensure availability and proper allocation of labor, materials, vehicles, and equipment. Manage material requests, distribution, and warehouse usage to avoid overstock. Oversee third-party work and ensure compliance with work specifications and timelines. Supervise agronomic activities to ensure alignment with technical guidelines. Monitor harvest operations, TBS handling, and delivery to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Maintain relationships with employees, government representatives, and local communities. Conduct daily postings, review operational reports, and sign required documentation. Perform cost control and explain budget vs actual performance monthly. Manage wage payments, overtime validation, and administrative processes. Ensure field conditions and employee housing remain safe and well-controlled. Provide coaching and performance feedback to subordinates regularly. Implement and monitor Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards. Job Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Plantation Management, or related field. Minimum 2–3 years of experience in plantation/agronomy operations (preferably palm oil). Strong understanding of agronomic practices, field operations, budgeting, and labor management. Good leadership skills with experience supervising field teams. Proficient in operational reporting and basic computer systems. Awareness and implementation of OSH (Occupational Safety & Health) practices. Willing to work on-site/remote estate locations. Physically fit and able to work in field conditions. High integrity, responsibility, and commitment to company standards.
