About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join a newly built, modern food manufacturing facility in Yatala. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader to play a key role in establishing and maintaining a high-performing production operation. You will lead a production team, drive daily performance, develop people and ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop production team members to achieve daily production targets.
  • Supervise and coordinate daily manufacturing activities across the production floor.
  • Ensure production schedules are achieved safely, efficiently and on time.
  • Monitor production output, labour utilisation, productivity and performance against targets.
  • Identify and proactively manage production issues, bottlenecks, downtime and material shortages.
  • Ensure materials, ingredients and packaging are available to support production requirements.
  • Maintain accurate production records, reporting and documentation.
  • Ensure products are manufactured consistently to required quality, food safety and customer standards.
  • Promote and maintain a strong culture of workplace safety and accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, food safety requirements and site procedures.

About you

  • Previous experience supervising or leading a production or manufacturing team.
  • Experience within food manufacturing, FMCG or a similar high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, manufacturing performance and productivity.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing employees.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • A hands-on leadership style with the ability to lead from the floor.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of GMP, HACCP and food safety principles.
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
