Job Description ROLE PURPOSE We are seeking an Agronomy Intern to support Syngenta's commitment to agronomic excellence and sustainable agricultural practices in South Africa. This role is critical for understanding crop health, soil science, and field-level challenges to optimise agricultural solutions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about crop science and eager to apply their knowledge in practical field settings, including data processing and training material development. PROGRAMME OBJECTIVE Gain practical, hands-on experience by contributing to real business projects that impact Syngenta's operations and strategic objectives. Develop professional competencies by working alongside experienced colleagues across different functions and teams. Build a comprehensive understanding of Syngenta's business, products, and the agricultural industry. Apply academic knowledge to solve practical business challenges and contribute to departmental goals. Demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous learning throughout the internship period. Qualifications CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED Bachelor's degree in Agronomy (B.Sc. Agric) or equivalent Have strong academic performance and motivation (Min 70% in major Subject) Agriculture understanding/exposure, and technical understanding Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel).
