OAKWOOD, ONTARIO

Sunderland Co-operative Inc. is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Warehouse/Yard Person to join our team. This position involves various tasks supporting the daily operations of our warehouse and yard. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining an organized workspace, assisting with inventory management, and ensuring materials are safely handled and stored.

HEALTH AND SAFETY:

• Operate only equipment and machinery for which training has been received.
• Report any equipment malfunctions immediately to the Supervisor.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as approved.
• Comply with all Company Health and Safety Policies
• Demonstrate a high degree of safety consciousness.

Basic Qualifications: (required)

• High school diploma (minimum)
• Ability to lift/carry medium to heavy packages (up to 55 lbs)
• Minimum G License
• Minimum 2 years experience working in a warehousing/logistics operation.
• Ability to work well under pressure, employing effective decision-making (judgment) in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills to be able to communicate effectively with managers, staff, customers, and dispatchers.
• Ability and willingness to work additional hours to meet business demands.
• Ability and willingness to work in dusty, warm, cold environment.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Accuracy and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications: (desired)

• Forklift certification and experience
• Basic understanding of agricultural/agronomy (seed, fertilizer, chemicals) products
• DZ License
• Farming background
