Responsibilities

Essential Job Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To The Following:

  • Responsible for specific account relationship and sales objectives
  • Ability to understand customer’s business and what is important to that customer
  • Take soil and tissue samples, make recommendations on agronomic problems based on results
  • Monitor crops for pest, fungus and weed problems, making recommendations for control
  • Know and use all resources necessary to make proper recommendations and applications of products sold
  • Ability to close on the sale
  • Develop new accounts. Utilize time effectively
  • Evaluate new products by putting out test plots as appropriate
  • Schedule application of agronomy products when needed
  • Work with other company agronomists to serve our customers more efficiently
  • Work closely with operations to ensure customer needs are met in a timely fashion
  • Work closely with operations managers regarding proper inventory management
  • Help in the process of evaluating new products to introduce
  • Staying current on new industry practices and processe

Other Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To The Following:

  • Use computer to formulate mixes, record grower contacts, work orders, recommendations and email
  • Attend training sessions to keep up to date on latest technology
  • Maintain company vehicle in a professional manner
  • Follow company safety rules
  • Maintain Certified Crop Advisor certification through continue education
  • Other duties, responsibilities and/or tasks as assigne
