Job Details Job Location: Rush City Country Store & Fuels - Rush City, MN Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: Undisclosed Description Federated Co-ops Inc. has an opening for an Agronomy Service Representative to work in our Agronomy Division! As an Agronomy Service Representative, you will provide outstanding customer service while supporting our farmers/producers as they plan, order and utilize Federated Co-ops products and services. The Agronomy Service Representative will proactively engage our customers as they select, order and receive crop nutrients, crop protection products, seed, agricultural custom application services, and energy products. This key member of our team will focus on helping achieve the Federated Co-op’s mission and goals, while increasing market share, gross sales, and local net margin. Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Agronomy Service Representative include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Work with Location Manager and Sales Manager to plan farm calls and contact current customers. Manage a suite of existing Federated customers and build relationships to understand farm operation needs and facilitate a first-class customer experience from selection to the delivery of our products, services and financing. Track all calls and contacts on Federated web-based sales contacts and leads. Work with customers during the farm planning and growing seasons to understand needs and facilitate product orders and secure for chemical, fertilizer and service and finance needs. Leverage and promote programs, grower meetings, grower events and promotional activities. Deliver products including fertilizer and application of fertilizer and chemicals. Follows up to ensure type, amount and quality of products and services meet customer expectations. Apply commercial custom chemicals and fertilizer seasonally during peak demand. Support and facilitate in-store counter sales. Assist Location Manager with monitoring inventories and customer invoicing. Attend monthly sales meetings and planning & development activities. Coordinate and support custom application services with customers. Work within our customer/grower’s time frame and schedule which will include extended hours during our busy season as well as evenings and/or weekends as seasonal demands dictate. Seek ongoing educational opportunities to enhance understanding of new products and offerings to educate and support the customer sales process. Qualifications Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy and Crop Science or equivalent. Active custom applicator license or ability to obtain. Active CDL or ability to obtain CDL and endorsements. OR Two to four years related experience working with farmers and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Agriculture background and sales experience preferred. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and climb or balance. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. Compensation and Benefits: Salary range is between $55,000 - $70,000 with potential for a substantial bonus. The actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills, and certifications.
