Description To deliver agronomy products to customers, maintain equipment operations while ensuring all trucks are properly loaded and unloaded in a way that will optimize the cooperative’s market share and savings, improve the cooperative’s efficiency, help achieve the cooperative’s mission and goals, and result in outstanding customer service. Summary: Responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of agronomy products, assisting with loading/unloading, performing basic maintenance, and supporting operational needs. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety regulations, and excellent customer service. Requirements Key Responsibilities Delivery & Operations Deliver agronomy products, including fertilizer and chemicals, in a timely and safe manner. Assist with loading and unloading products. Perform basic grain handling, including loading and unloading. Maintain accurate driving and delivery records. Equipment Maintenance Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on delivery vehicles and equipment. Perform basic mechanical upkeep. Report any unsafe equipment or required repairs immediately to your supervisor. Follow the regular vehicle maintenance schedule provided by your supervisor. Housekeeping & Compliance Perform and document general housekeeping duties. Uphold all cooperative policies and comply with HACCP, FDA, OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations. Maintain a valid Class A CDL (or obtain within 60 days). Safety & Driving Standards Drive defensively and obey all traffic laws. Use extreme caution in farmyards; watch for children, pets, and property. Avoid damage to property and prevent product spillage; clean up any spills promptly. Check lights and safety equipment daily. No unauthorized riders allowed. Wash and maintain vehicle cleanliness as required. Reporting Submit complete and accurate trip reports monthly. Notify your supervisor of discrepancies, unsafe conditions, or potential business opportunities. Report unusual activity, customer complaints, or hazards promptly. Other Duties Assist with additional tasks as assigned by management. Promote teamwork and maintain a professional image through words, actions, and appearance. Attend safety meetings and training sessions as scheduled. Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. General computer knowledge. Class A CDL license (or ability to obtain within 60 days). Ability to work long seasonal hours. Comfortable with heights and prolonged standing. Detail-oriented with strong accuracy. Excellent customer service skills. Physical Demands Regular use of hands for handling and communication. Frequent walking and reaching; occasional standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, or crawling. Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
