THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a talented, motivated and professional individual with experience in an Aviation Part 145 Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Organisation and within the Aviation Maintenance Training System.
You will be joining the world class Apache Attack Helicopter Sustainment Program as a Technical and Training Manager on site, at the vanguard of the Australian Army’s AH-64E Apache aircraft fleet.
With a role of this importance to our business and the customer the successful applicant will be site based at RAAF Base Townsville, engaging with Defence and Industry to achieve the desired outcomes.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the ramp up and preparedness of sovereign capability in Townsville. Leading, managing and mentoring the Townsville workforce undergoing training in Diploma Aeroskills and Cert II Aircraft Line Maintenance pathways
  • Manage personnel recruitment and onboarding, mandatory training, site access, leave, time accounting and on-the-job skilling for apprentices and aircraft workers
  • Leading, managing and mentoring the Townsville workforce undergoing training in Diploma and Cert II pathways.
  • Supporting the Maintenance Operations Manager in managing the governance of a multidisciplinary team of employees and Subcontractors delivering technical and logistics Services to the 1 Aviation Regiment (1Avn) Operational Unit at RAAF Base Townsville and Army Aviation Training Centre (AAvnTC)
  • Liaise with our Defence Stakeholders and external agencies
