Job Purpose The role holder is responsible for identifying, designing and delivering cross-functional analytics use cases that will enhance the BUs/FUs decision making abilities, including dashboards, reports, tools, solutions, real-time and interactive analysis, as well as forward predictive analysis required for effective business decision-making. The role holder also ensures the allocation of resources to the different advanced analytics project and the nature of support to be provided to the business units when required. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.Job Responsibility Selects and leads a team of advanced analytics experts and data scientists (SWAT team) to serve cross-sector and strategic (CEO type) requests Ensures the collaboration between SWAT team and BU specific insight specialists and data scientists to provide additional capacity or guidance to meet internal BU analytical needs Supports the BUs/FUs need for complex and standardised analytics requests by allocating analytical resources from the SWAT team Job Responsibility (cont.) Proposes cross-functional analytics use cases based on available data and needs from the Bus/FUs Prioritises implementation of cross-functional analyses based on the assessment of value creation potential for STC Years of Experience 5 and above years of experienceNature of Experience 5+ years of experience in analytics and BI with at least 3 years in big data Prior experience in Telco or Financial Services (Information Products) or e-commerce Proven experience in defyining complex models that includes mobile, digital and social data Expert in predictive algorithms include K-means, Naïve-Bayes, etc.Job Band Sr.ProfessionalSkills Good analytical and organizational skills Proficient planning and organizing skills Decision making and problem solving skills Good risk management skills E communication skills Education Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Information TechnologyAdditional Education Certifications Relevant certification in applicable Business Intelligence Suite/Tools (Oracle, MS Business Productivity Suite, Cognos etc.) Relevant certification in Business Intelligence (Certified Business Intelligence Professional) Relevant certification in applicable Data Integration Tools (Informatica, SAS, Pentaho etc) Relevant certification in Software Quality Management systems/tools Relevant certification in Unix/Shell Scripting, PL/SQL
