Vantiq is seeking an exceptional software engineer to develop solutions for key Vantiq customers in North America. This position will be dedicated to a specific project for an Emergency Response System. The ideal candidate has a deep passion for making customers successful and referenceable. They should have deep experience with developing modern AI driven solutions, including working with LLMs, and integrating new technologies into complex business environments. This position will report to the Director of Professional Services for North America. This is a hybrid position (2 days remote / 3 days in office at the Vantiq HQ in Walnut Creek, CA) and may require occasional travel.

Technical Requirements

• Experience developing commercial products or applications utilizing Generative and/or Agentic AI.
• Understanding of Generative AI principals, including prompt engineering, chat interfaces, and retrieval augmented generation (RAG) utilizing semantic indexes.
• Strong familiarty with image detection and classification technologies.
• Mastery of integrating with public sensor data APIs, including weather data systems.
• Ability to understand, read, or write code in JavaScript, Python, and SQL.
• Understanding of UI/UX principals and experience delivering web applications to customers.
• Knowledge of databases including: MongoDB and timeseries databases.

While not specifically required, knowledge in as many of the areas listed below is desired.

• Python and shell scripting.
• Virtualization engines (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Business systems like ERP/CRM
• Operating systems include Linux and Windows.
• Experience with Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and products.
• Experience with Cloud Platforms: AWS, Google, Azure
• Application integration with ERP, EAI, and CRM vendor products

· Develop Vantiq applications for key Vantiq customers.

· Continue to learn and train on product lines and continuously update knowledge of new products. Identify customers’ needs and provide the ‘best’ or ‘total’ solution from a wide range of products and services.

Education: Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in computer science or have experience commensurate with this position.
