Are you passionate about pushing the boundaries of SOTA 3D computer vision and generative models? Zillow - the largest real estate platform in the US with over 220M monthly users - is revolutionizing how people experience unfurnished spaces through cutting-edge AI technology. Our team specializes in developing state-of-the-art generative AI and 3DCV pipelines for virtual staging, transforming empty rooms into beautifully furnished spaces that help millions of people envision their future homes.
As part of Zillow’s broader AI organization of hundreds of researchers and engineers, our Munich-based team of 10 combines academic excellence with real-world impact. We have unique access to one of the world’s largest collections of high-quality indoor real estate imagery, allowing us to tackle challenging computer vision problems at an unprecedented scale.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Current PhD student in Computer Vision, preferably on topics related to indoor scenes
• Strong research background in computer vision, particularly in areas such as: Indoor scene representations, 3D reconstruction, Scene understanding or generation
• Programming proficiency in PyTorch or similar deep learning frameworks
• Experience with large datasets and data-driven deep-learning methods
• Good publication record or is highly motivated towards publishing at top-tier scientific conferences (such as CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, and SIGGRAPH)

As a Computer Vision PhD Intern in the Virtual Staging AI team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a research project at the intersection of indoor scene understanding, 3D reconstruction, and generative AI. You’ll collaborate with experienced Applied Scientists while having the flexibility to align the project with your research interests and contribute to your publication record in top-tier conferences.
Our team has an open attitude towards research, and we encourage publications and continuing collaborations. Most of our past interns have submissions and publications at top conferences such as CVPR and ECCV as a product of intern research and team collaboration.
