Job Location Trek Waterloo HQ Job Description Location: Waterloo, WI Type: Full-Time Internship ( 2 Interns) Duration: Summer 2026: Starting June 1st A Day in the Life As an AI Automation Initiatives Intern, you’ll be at the forefront of transforming how Trek delivers world-class digital products. You’ll help research, build, and deploy AI-driven solutions that optimize software testing, improve release quality, and enable smarter automation. Working within Trek’s Software QA organization, you’ll collaborate with QA engineers, developers, and IT leaders to bring intelligence into automation practices. You’ll work on initiatives like: AI-Driven Test Generation: Use tools such as but not limited to ChatGPT, CoPilot, and Rovo to automatically create and maintain test cases from user stories and requirements. Defect Prediction Models: Build predictive analytics to forecast defect-prone areas and guide testing priorities. Smart Regression Testing: Implement AI-powered selection logic to optimize test runs based on change impact. AI-Augmented Reporting: Create intelligent dashboards that summarize failures and provide actionable insights using natural language. Voice-Assisted QA Tools: Experiment with voice-command interfaces to trigger automation and view test results. We Are Looking For You’ll thrive in this role if you’re: Curious and Analytical: You love using data and AI to solve complex problems and drive measurable results. Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with Java, Python, Power BI, or automation tools such as Playwright, Rest Assured, and Postman Collaborative: Able to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams and document your findings effectively. Proactive and Self-Driven: A self-starter who’s eager to learn, research, and experiment with emerging technologies. Currently Enrolled: Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
