AI - Consultant (m/f/d) as of April 1, 2025
Full-time (39.5 hours/week), limited to 2 years.
The Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg GmbH (FABW) is one of the most renowned educational institutions for film and media in Germany and also enjoys an excellent international reputation. This is ensured by a strong team- and practice-oriented teaching concept and over 300 guest lecturers per year. The Filmakademie also includes the Animationsinstitut and the Atelier Ludwigsburg-Paris.
The AI consultant (m/f/d) is the central point of contact for the entire FABW on all topics related to artificial intelligence. He/she should act as a central advisor, multiplier and mediator for AI topics.
He/she should stay up to date with established, new and emerging toolsets as well as the latest trends in AI and be able to contextualize them in terms of their impact on media production, evaluate them in terms of ethical and legal standards, and integrate them accordingly into the FABW’s production pipelines.
Their responsibilities
1. Central point of contact for AI topics at the FABW
2. Advising on adapting teaching methods and curricula to maintain relevance in a media industry that uses artificial intelligence in production
3. Close collaboration with research activities of the R&D department and AI-related projects at the FABW and Animationsinstitut in particular with regard to fair and sustainable use of AI
4. Initiation of regional (IPAI, AI Alliance, Cyber Valley…) and international contacts with relevant AI initiatives to address the needs of the FABW and enable potential future collaborations
5. Support in selecting, prioritizing and planning AI projects in teaching, production and general workflows
6. Research and selection of suitable AI tools, ongoing overview, administration (licenses & access) and organization (teaching events) of AI tools (commercial and open source) that are available to FABW students
7. Advice and support with training needs and introduction as well as the establishment of cross-departmental knowledge exchange formats
8. Evaluation and documentation of the use of AI tools
Your profile
1. You have a degree in media or science or several years of professional experience related to AI
2. You have very good communication and team skills as well as very good written and spoken English skills
3. Experience in project and stakeholder management
4. You are enthusiastic about working in a vibrant, creative environment
5. You have extensive IT know-how, particularly with regard to the functioning and technologies of AI
6. Knowledge of conventional and modern video pipelines and production methods is an advantage
7. You have a sense of social responsibility and are open and sensitive to sustainability, diversity and equal opportunities
