AI DATA ARCHITECT (CONTRACT) WITH FINXL

We partner with clients in telecommunications, financial services, government, and beyond to provide expert consulting services and flexible delivery models that drive real outcomes.
We are seeking an experienced AI Data Architect to deliver strategic consulting services into a leading telecommunications organisation. This role is ideal for a senior architect with strong data platform experience who understands how to enable AI, ML, and analytics from a data-first perspective. You will work closely with the enterprise data office and contribute to enterprise transformation initiatives. This engagement could lead to further extensions or potential conversion to a direct permanent role with our end-client.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years in enterprise Data Architecture (on-prem and cloud)
  • Strong experience across Azure and GCP
  • Solid understanding of MDM, data pipelines, data governance, and quality frameworks
  • Familiarity with tools such as Databricks, Azure Data Factory, BigQuery, and BI platforms
  • Experience in supporting AI/ML initiatives and downstream analytics
  • Large-scale enterprise data environment experience is mandatory
  • Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
Responsibilities
  • Lead architecture design for customer master data and enterprise data platforms
  • Enable data-driven AI and ML strategy through robust, scalable data foundations
  • Design and govern data ingestion, integration, and transformation across Azure and GCP, with some exposure to AWS.
  • Establish and maintain frameworks for data quality, governance, and metadata
  • Work closely with BI, reporting, and analytics teams to support downstream enablement
  • Represent data architecture in design consults and governance forums
  • Support development of reusable components and real-time/batch data patterns
  • Collaborate with solution architects, engineers, and DevOps across Agile delivery squads
