MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Power Systems.
  • infrastructure or high-density data centers (100kW–1MW).
  • Deep hands-on expertise with busbars, power connectors (liquid-cooled, solder-tail, screw-mount).
  • Experience working with GPU/TPU hardware in server environments.
  • Familiarity with standards (IEC, IEEE), CAD tools, and short-circuit rating validations (e.g., 25kA).
  • Prior work with companies such as: Amphenol, Molex, TE, Samtec, APP, JAE, Meritec, I-PEX, Sumitomo, Schneider Electric, Vertiv, etc.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s or PhD in Thermal Engineering, Applied Physics, or Power Mechanics.
  • Experience with AI rack designs (e.g., NVIDIA 132 kW/rack systems).
  • Understanding of BBU/powershelf systems and dynamic workload management.

SOFT SKILLS:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication to bridge engineering and business goals.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to represent technical positions confidently in customer or industry meetings.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a highly experienced AI Data Center Power Architect to join our HPC Business Unit in Fremont, CA. In this critical role, you will architect high-current, high-density power delivery systems — including power connectors, whips, and advanced liquid-cooled busbars — for next-generation AI server and rack infrastructure.
You will collaborate with R&D, PLM, Sales, and industry partners to ensure best-in-class performance, compliance with global standards, and innovation in AI data center power design.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Architect and optimize power distribution systems for AI racks and servers (130A–3000A).
  • Develop rack- and system-level power estimation models and improve performance-per-watt.
  • Ensure compliance with standards like IEC 61439, IEEE, and thermal/seismic requirements.
  • Work on liquid-cooled, high-current, and dense GPU/TPU-based environments.
  • Drive collaboration with OEMs, chipmakers (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel), and data center clients.
  • Represent company in OCP, OIF, and other consortia to promote power architecture standards.
  • Incorporate low-GWP cooling, advanced copper alloys, and next-gen efficiency materials.
  • Participate in customer meetings, roadmap development, and system validation.
