We are seeking a talented and motivated post-secondary graduate for a 1-year contract (with possibility of extension) to work in the new Genesis AI Garage. This is a unique opportunity to apply your AI skills and knowledge to real-world challenges, working closely with a dynamic team of entrepreneurs and industry experts. Industry experience would be considered to be a key asset.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Graduate of a post-secondary institution residing in Newfoundland and Labrador.
  • Strong foundation in machine learning, data science, and AI principles.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
  • Familiarity with data manipulation tools (e.g., pandas, NumPy) and databases (SQL, NoSQL).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong analytical mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Candidates must be legally permitted to work in Canada

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience preferred in a startup environment or with entrepreneurial projects.
  • Experience working in a collaborative / team environment is preferred
