Our team is focused on driving innovation in AI and machine learning, with a particular emphasis on understanding emerging scams, evaluating our product’s response, and exploring new technological developments. We work collaboratively to develop AI-powered security features, analyze diverse data types, and conduct experiments that uncover actionable insights. Currently, our efforts are centered on text-based experiments, with the flexibility to explore other areas as we adapt to evolving challenges. By maintaining a strong ethical foundation, we aim to ensure our AI solutions are transparent, trustworthy, and privacy-conscious.

What you’ll be doing
As a summer trainee, you’ll work closely with senior data scientists to support ongoing AI and data science projects. Your primary focus will include:
Exploring and analyzing data, such as social media datasets.
Training and fine-tuning large foundational models (LFMs).
Optimizing workflows and processes to enhance model performance.
Contributing to team discussions and sharing insights through demos.
Collaborating with other teams to deepen understanding of scams and data collection.
This is a 3–6 month program starting in May or June 2025, providing hands-on experience in a professional setting while contributing to impactful initiatives.
What we’re looking for

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Basic understanding of Python and machine learning concepts.
Familiarity with tools like Scikit-learn and PyTorch.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

Relevant coursework or projects in computer science, data science, or related fields.
Near completion or completion of a bachelor’s degree is a plus.

SOFT SKILLS:

Curiosity and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Adaptability and eagerness to learn.
Ability to visit our Helsinki or Oulu office on Mondays for collaboration.
