AI DEVELOPER I

BAM is seeking an AI Developer I. The successful candidate will assist in designing and maintaining advanced machine learning systems in secure AWS GovCloud environments and implementing high-value customer features. The role also involves leveraging internal AI tools to support application development.
Ideal candidates will bring at least two years of development experience, hands-on expertise in Generative and Agentic AI, and strong communication skills. A background working with machine learning solutions in secure, government-oriented cloud platforms is highly desirable, as is experience building intelligent virtual assistants and improving automation processes. The ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and adapt to innovative technologies will be key to excelling in this dynamic position.

QUALIFICATIONS

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of development experience
• Experience using Generative and Agentic AI, Natural Language Processing (NLP) and other Machine Learning techniques
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with AWS AI services (Bedrock, SageMaker AI)
• Experience deploying AI models in cloud environments
• Understanding of RESTful API design and integration
• Ability to optimize algorithms for performance and scalability
• Experience collaborating in Agile software development teams
