Description

About the job

Role Purpose

We do not need someone to simply introduce more AI tools. We need someone who can identify where work is slow, repetitive or overly dependent on individuals, then redesign the workflow and implement practical AI solutions that employees will actually use.

The role will work across Sales, Product, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations and HR. The focus is measurable business improvement: faster tender responses, better access to knowledge, less manual reporting, stronger follow-up and more consistent execution across countries and business units.

This is a business transformation role with strong AI capability, not a pure software engineering, IT support or research position.

Key Responsibilities

Identify meaningful AI use cases

Work directly with business teams to understand how work is currently done, where information gets stuck and which activities consume time without adding sufficient value.

Prioritise opportunities based on business impact, implementation effort, data readiness and adoption potential. Avoid “AI for the sake of AI” projects.

Initial use cases may include:

  • Searching and summarising product, technical and certification information
  • Supporting tender analysis and first-draft responses
  • Creating sales proposals and customer presentations
  • Consolidating market, competitor and pipeline intelligence
  • Capturing customer requirements and tracking follow-up actions
  • Improving demand forecasting and inventory visibility
  • Analysing manufacturing or quality issues
  • Drafting HR documents and answering routine employee questions
  • Automating recurring management reports and OKR updates
  • Translating and localising information across China and international teams

Review how work is currently done across teams, identify unnecessary steps and clarify ownership before introducing new technology. Improve existing systems and workflows through practical AI solutions, automation or integrations that better support international teams.

Design, prototype and implement lightweight AI-enabled solutions using suitable platforms, APIs and existing company systems. Work with IT, Product and external vendors where enterprise-level development, integration or security support is required. Organise fragmented information across functions and countries into a trusted, searchable knowledge base with clear ownership, access controls and source references.

Drive adoption through practical training based on employees’ actual work, supported by role-specific templates, playbooks and AI assistants. Track usage, resolve adoption barriers and establish clear governance covering confidential information, customer and employee data, intellectual property, approved tools and human review of important decisions.

First-Year Priorities

First 90 days

  • Review current tools, workflows and AI usage across key departments
  • Interview business leaders and frontline employees
  • Create a prioritised AI opportunity map
  • Establish basic AI usage and data-handling guidelines
  • Launch two or three quick-win pilots

Months 4–6

  • Deliver at least one working solution for Sales or tender management
  • Deliver at least one solution for an operational function
  • Establish adoption and impact measurements
  • Train the first group of departmental AI champions
  • Recommend which tools should be retained, integrated or discontinued

Months 7–12

  • Scale successful pilots across relevant entities
  • Launch a searchable, permission-controlled knowledge solution
  • Embed AI-enabled workflows into normal business operations
  • Present a quantified roadmap for the following year

Success Measures

The role will not be assessed by how many tools or workshops are launched. Instead,

  • Reduction in time spent preparing tenders, proposals and recurring reports
  • Number of workflows adopted and actively used after three months
  • Employee adoption among targeted teams
  • Hours of manual work eliminated or redirected
  • Improvement in response time and follow-up completion
  • Reduction in duplicate or outdated documents
  • Percentage of AI outputs linked to approved source information
  • Financial benefit or productivity gain from implemented use cases
  • Zero material breaches of AI and data-handling requirements

Candidate Profile

  • Around 6–10 years of experience in digital transformation, AI enablement, product operations, business process improvement, automation or technology consulting
  • Experience implementing AI or automation in real business workflows, not only running training or developing strategy decks
  • Strong ability to understand commercial and operational problems
  • Comfortable building prototypes using enterprise AI tools, workflow automation platforms, APIs and knowledge systems (with a team)
  • Able to work with both business users and technical teams
  • Strong change-management, facilitation and stakeholder-management skills
  • Able to operate across different countries, functions and levels of technical maturity
  • Experience in payments, smart cards, fintech, manufacturing or B2B technology would be advantageous

12-month renewable contract.

*Only Singaporeans and Singapore PRs will be considered for this position.
