We are looking for an AI Engineer (m/f/d) with a passion for modern software development and the use of AI tools in the development process. In this role, you will use cutting-edge AI technologies to develop faster, smarter, and more efficient software for our clients in the banking sector.

Job description

• In this role, you will develop modern software solutions using AI tools and "Vibe Coding" approaches – from the initial idea to a production-ready application.
• In this role, you will integrate Large Language Models and AI APIs into existing and new customer applications in the financial sector.
• Additionally, you will build AI-powered features such as chatbots, intelligent assistant functions, document automation, or compliance workflows.
• Through rapid prototyping, you test new ideas and iteratively develop product features – also in the context of our internal AI products.
• Together with AI Solution Architects and specialist departments, you will transform concepts into scalable, quality-assured solutions.
• You will also evaluate new tools, models, and platforms such as Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or on-premises LLMs.
• In addition, you actively share your knowledge within the team, conduct code reviews, hold tech talks, and document reusable patterns.
• Consulting means flexibility: Your project assignment depends on our clients and your project situation – you work throughout Germany in our offices, on-site at the client's premises and from home.

Qualifications

• A completed degree in (business) informatics, physics or mathematics
• Furthermore, you possess sound practical experience in software development with Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go or Java.
• You are distinguished by your great enthusiasm for AI-supported development and modern coding workflows such as Cursor, Copilot or Claude Code.
• Knowledge of LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or common AI frameworks complements your technical skillset effectively.
• You have a good understanding of APIs, cloud services such as Azure or AWS, and modern software architecture.
• Creativity, curiosity, and the joy of trying out new technologies and quickly implementing them in prototypes.
• Ideally, you already have some experience with the financial services environment or other regulated industries.
• Excellent German skills (at least C1 level) and good English skills complete your profile.
