ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

HiCounselor is hiring for one of our clients, an early-stage AI tools startup backed by top-tier investors.
They are looking for a Founding AI Engineer to build and scale LLM-powered agents that handle complex support tickets end-to-end. You’ll work directly with the leadership team to ship fast, own core systems, and build AI infrastructure from scratch.
The ideal candidate has 3 years of startup experience, is strong in Python, and is product-minded—someone who codes fast, thinks about the end user, and wants to own outcomes. Must be US-based and willing to work on-site in San Francisco.

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong CS background (top school or dropout with proof of work)
• Prior founder experience (startup, e-commerce, brand, community, etc.)
• <25 years old (per client’s culture fit)
• Built side projects or shipped real products before/during college
• Shipped AI systems in production
• Strong in Python (entire stack is Python-based)
• Must be in SF or willing to relocate (on-site only)
