REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in AI solution development, including process automation, chatbots, or AI agents.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Copilot Studio (or Power Virtual Agents).
  • Hands-on experience with LLM technologies (e.g., OpenAI, Azure OpenAI Service, or similar).
  • Experience integrating REST APIs and external data sources in application development.
  • Strong skills in prompt engineering, NLP, and understanding of LLM capabilities and limitations.
  • Familiarity with agent orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Semantic Kernel, Haystack, or RAG pipelines).
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with hyperscaler AI services such as Azure Cognitive Services, AWS Bedrock, or Google Vertex AI.
  • Familiarity with open-source AI toolkits, including Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, or FastAPI.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control in both low-code and pro-code environments.
  • Experience delivering AI-powered solutions for enterprise workflows such as HR, finance, operations, or IT service management.
  • Exposure to RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) or memory-enabled agent architectures.
    The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $138,480 to $263,160 based on a full-time schedule.
    Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.
    There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations:
    California:$152,400 to $315,720
    Colorado: $138,480 to $263,160
    New York City: $166,200 to $315,720
    Washington: $152,400to$289,440
    Washington DC:$152,400 to $289,440
    This position will be eligible for Kyndryl’s discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl’s applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off. Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As a AI Engineer you will be a expert at design, develop, and deploying intelligent automation and AI agent solutions across the enterprise. This role bridges low-code platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform) and pro-code frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Azure AI, OpenAI, or open-source agentic stacks). The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with an innovation mindset to enable next-generation, AI-powered business transformation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and implement end-to-end automation and AI agent solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse), Copilot Studio, and pro-code stacks.
  • Build agentic AI solutions using LLMs, reasoning engines, memory structures, and orchestration frameworks like LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or Azure AI Foundry.
  • Develop custom AI agents that can plan, reason, and interact across systems using APIs, tools, and multi-turn dialog.
  • Create and manage AI-driven business applications that combine user input, enterprise data, and intelligent responses to improve productivity and decision-making.
  • Integrate with external services and APIs, including Microsoft Graph, RESTful services, and hyperscaler AI tools (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to identify use cases, gather requirements, and deliver solutions aligned to organizational goals.
  • Stay current on advancements in generative AI, LLMs, and prompt engineering to continuously improve and recommend cutting-edge approaches.
  • Ensure solutions comply with enterprise governance, security, and data privacy standards.
  • Contribute to internal AI communities of practice and support scalable delivery patterns and reusable components.
