Lead AI Engineer

About us Nimara Ventures, Inc. is a Delaware-incorporated technology company that places senior engineers on long-term projects for US clients. We're growing our AI team and hiring a Lead AI Engineer to build production GenAI systems and guide a small team.

What you'll do

• Architect and build LLM applications: RAG pipelines, agents, and tool-calling workflows
• Own the path from prototype to production: evaluation, monitoring, cost and latency tuning
• Lead and review code for 2-4 engineers; set standards for prompts, testing, and deployment
• Work with client product and engineering teams to turn requirements into delivery plans
• Deploy on AWS (or Azure/GCP) with CI/CD and containerized services

What you bring

• 8+ years in software engineering, with 4+ years in AI/ML and at least 1-2 production GenAI projects
• Strong Python; hands-on with LangChain / LlamaIndex or equivalent agent frameworks
• Vector databases (Pinecone, pgvector, FAISS, or similar) and embedding strategies
• Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-source LLMs, plus evaluation and guardrails
• Cloud (AWS preferred), Docker, REST/FastAPI
• Clear spoken and written English; comfortable with 3-4 hours of US time-zone overlap
• Ability to show real production work. Generic "used ChatGPT" experience won't qualify.

Nice to have: fine-tuning, MLOps, Kubernetes, voice AI, team-lead experience
