The Data and AI team democratizes data, analytics, AI, and automation for all Sandvik Coromant teams through self-services, data literacy, and data products. We deliver fit-for-purpose solutions, organized in a federated way to ensure predictability and high pace. Our team of experts in data, analytics, automation, and AI is driven by a strong engineering spirit and a commitment to teamwork, leading by example in technology and product-driven methodologies.
Your mission
As an AI Engineer within our AI Center of Enablement you will apply your solid experience in Machine Learning (ML), Large Language Models and Retrieval-Augmented Generation to enable our organization on AI.

Included in your responsibility:

• Support the Product Manager in translating business requirements into AI and ML solutions.
• Support the AI Product Manager, Product Owners and Analysts in articulating their requirements in the right level of granularity to guarantee best implementation results.
• Co-responsibility for the implementation of models and algorithms leveraging our ML, Large Language Model and Retrieval-Augmented Generation architecture.
• Enable and educate the Data Analysts on our AI self-services.
• Provide thought leadership by researching best practices, conducting experiments and collaborating with industry experts.
• Translating results from the AI Laboratory into AI-Product requirements which can be productionized by the Engineering and Platform team.

The location for this position is Stockholm, Sweden.

Background and experience

• Several years of hands-on experience in Data Science or Data Analysis.
• Experience in agile product team organization.
• An academic degree in computer science, statistics or operations research or related technical discipline.
• Experience with Python or similar language.
• Experience working with large data sets, simulation/optimization and distributed computing tools (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Arena, etc.).
• Experience in the productization of analytical solutions for large and heterogenous number of users.
• Data Domain knowledge in at least one of the areas: Sales, Finance, R&D, Manufacturing.
