We are committed to innovation, quality, and continuous improvement while delivering solutions that keep critical infrastructure operating safely and efficiently. Position Summary Piping Technology & Products is seeking a motivated and self-driven AI Intern to support the company's adoption of Artificial Intelligence and business automation technologies. This is a paid, full-time, 12-week internship designed to provide hands-on experience applying AI to solve real business challenges across a manufacturing organization. Working alongside employees across multiple departments, you'll learn how the business operates, identify opportunities for improvement, and help implement AI and automation solutions using tools like Tasklet. Success in this role requires curiosity, initiative, and a passion for continuous learning. What You'll Do • Learn PT&P's business, products, and operations to develop a strong understanding of how the company works. • Partner with employees across multiple departments to understand their roles, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. • Learn and become proficient in Tasklet, including organizational settings, workspace management, and advanced features. • Demonstrate and coach employees on using Tasklet and AI tools to improve productivity and automate everyday tasks. • Research, test, and implement AI-driven solutions that streamline workflows and increase efficiency. • Explore opportunities to connect Tasklet with other business systems through data integration and automation. • Document AI solutions, best practices, and user guides to support company-wide adoption. • Continuously research emerging AI technologies and recommend innovative solutions for the business. Requirements What We're Looking For • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field. • Naturally curious with a passion for AI, automation, and solving business problems. • Self-directed, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative to learn independently. • Confident communicating with employees at all levels and asking thoughtful questions. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. • Experience with ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Tasklet, or similar AI tools is preferred. Internship Details • Paid Internship • Duration: 12 weeks from the employee's start date • Full-time, Monday–Friday • On-site in Houston, Texas Work Environment This position is primarily office-based with opportunities to collaborate across multiple departments. Occasional visits to manufacturing and shop areas may be required to better understand business processes and identify opportunities for AI-driven improvements. Appropriate PPE must be worn when entering designated production areas.
