Description

Overview Nakupuna Solutions is looking for an AI/ML Engineer. The AI/ML Engineer is responsible for researching, developing, and implementing artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) solutions to address complex business challenges. This role involves designing and optimizing algorithms, building predictive models, and integrating AI/ML systems into production environments. The AI/ML Engineer collaborates closely with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure that AI/ML solutions align with organizational goals and deliver measurable value. Responsibilities The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Research and implement artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions. Optimize algorithms for performance and scalability. Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to integrate AI models. Stay updated on emerging AI technologies and trends. Qualifications Skills/Qualifications: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java. Expertise in AI/ML frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Keras). Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, including supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning. Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, and deep learning techniques. Experience with big data tools and platforms (e.g., Palantir, AWS, Azure). Familiarity with model deployment and monitoring tools (e.g., MLflow, Docker, Kubernetes). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data. Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Education/Experience: 3+ years of professional experience building, deploying and maintaining AI/ML models end-to-end in production environments. Advanced degree in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related fields. Clearance Requirements: Active Secret security clearance required. Must be a U.S. citizen. Work Location: This position is 3 days onsite in Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland. Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation: Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers. Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations. Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer. The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within applicable market ranges commensurate with multiple factors, including but not limited to the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, and position location. The projected compensation range for this position is $170,000.00 to $210,000.00 (annualized USD). The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Nakupuna Companies total compensation package for employees.
