WHAT WE LOOK FOR

We are seeking a talented and experienced AI/ML Engineer/Researcher to join our team and drive innovation in artificial intelligence and machine learning. This role combines cutting-edge research with practical implementation, requiring both theoretical knowledge and hands-on engineering skills.

EDUCATION

  • PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence, Statistics or related fields
  • OR Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Strong academic background in mathematics, statistics, and algorithms

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Programming Languages: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript (aligned with our stack)
  • ML/AI: Vertex AI, LangGraph, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Keras
  • Cloud Platforms: AWS, GCP
  • Data Tools: Snowflake, Apache Superset, MongoDB, Pandas, NumPy, Jupyter notebooks
  • MLOps: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD for ML pipelines
  • Version Control: Git, experiment tracking tools (MLflow, Weights & Biases)

Domain Expertise

  • Deep understanding of ML algorithms (supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning)
  • Experience with deep learning architectures (CNNs, RNNs, Transformers)
  • Knowledge of statistical methods and experimental design
  • Familiarity with big data processing frameworks (Spark, Dask)

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (both written and spoken) are required for this role. (German language skills are a plus, but not required.)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
  • Collaborative mindset and team player attitude

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with health domainsExperience with distributed computing and parallel processing
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices
  • Experience with A/B testing and experimentation frameworks
  • Familiarity with edge computing and model optimization
