AI/ML SOFTWARE ENGINEER ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Software Engineer with AI/ML expertise to join our AI/ML Development Team. In this role, you will work alongside experienced engineers to enhance and support Telesoft products in the fast-evolving cybersecurity and telecommunications industries.
You will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML-based solutions that align with the company’s strategic objectives. Your contributions will drive innovation, extend product functionality, and help bring data-driven intelligence into our core offerings.
* Important: Applicants must be eligible for SC level security clearance and must have lived continuously in the UK for at least the last 5 years *

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF AI/ML SOFTWARE ENGINEER

• Develop custom software solutions using Python and C/C++, incorporating AI/ML models and techniques where appropriate.
• Lead the design and development of AI/ML capabilities integrated into new and existing Telesoft products.
• Design and deploy scalable solutions using microservice architectures with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, sharing best practices and technical expertise.
• Integrate new components into existing build and release pipelines to maintain robust product baselines.
• Establish and promote coding standards, quality, and maintainability across the team.
• Set up, manage, and maintain development/test environments using both open-source technologies and internal infrastructure.
• Create and maintain clear, comprehensive technical documentation (e.g., requirements, design specs, test plans, deployment guides).
• Collaborate closely with other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of products, features, and fixes.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide technical support and mentorship to junior members of the development team.
