About the Role: We are looking for a high-agency AI Product Engineer—a builder who operates at the intersection of Product, Engineering, and AI. This is not a traditional PM role and not a pure engineering role. You will identify operational bottlenecks, design AI-driven solutions, and ship them end-to-end. You will report directly to the Chief Product Officer (CPO) and work closely with the C-suite, product, and operations teams to fundamentally change how ServiceUp runs. We care less about how you write code and more about velocity, reliability, and real-world impact. What You'll Do: Build AI-Powered Internal Tools Design and build user-facing internal applications that support and scale core business operations. Own these tools across their full lifecycle—from problem definition to production and iteration. Ensure tools are intuitive, reliable, and deeply embedded into day-to-day workflows. Automate Core Operations (Internal & External) Replace manual, repetitive processes with AI-driven automation. Build systems that orchestrate work across internal tools and external systems. Own automation reliability, failure handling, and continuous improvement. Own Problems from “0 → 1” Take loosely defined business goals and turn them into complete, working solutions. Own all layers of delivery: Data models Backend logic Frontend interfaces Prompt design, evaluation, and iteration Make independent tradeoffs and ship pragmatically. Architect for Leverage Build systems that multiply the effectiveness of the operations team. Enable the organization to scale output significantly without scaling headcount. Balance speed with maintainability—building durable systems without over-engineering. What You'll Bring: Product-minded: You care deeply about why something is being built.
