About the Team
BytePlus Recommend is one of the key products for enterprise clients from the AML(Applied Machine Learning) team. The AML team has extensive expertise in recommendation systems, with significant practical achievements across both internal business applications and external enterprise clients.
Responsibilities
1. Own end-to-end product lifecycle for conversational LLM-powered search/recommendation systems - from strategic planning, user needs analysis, feature design to performance optimization
2. Drive cross-domain solutions by translating business requirements from e-commerce, local services, and digital entertainment sectors into technical specifications and system designs
3. Lead cross-functional collaboration with AI/ML engineers, data scientists, and infrastructure teams to ensure technical feasibility and successful implementation
4. Conduct global market intelligence through competitive benchmarking of LLM SaaS applications and user research to inform product roadmap decisions
5. Establish evaluation frameworks to measure and enhance model performance, user engagement, and business impact
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or related quantitative field, with at least 5 years of product management experience with proven success in AI/ML products
• Working knowledge of modern search/recommender system architectures
• Deep understanding of transformer architectures and prompt engineering techniques. Familiarity with leading LLM ecosystems (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, Claude) and open-source alternatives, and the ability to interpret technical papers and collaborate effectively with research teams
• Data-driven decision maker with exceptional systems thinking to manage complex technical dependencies and proven track record shipping products in agile environments
• Experience working in cross-cultural teams and have a passion for understanding diverse user behaviors across global markets
