JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced and innovative AI Services Lead/Solutions Architect (CG09B) to drive the integration of artificial intelligence into operational and data workflows. This role is ideal for a professional with deep expertise in word processing, document creation, and data management, who is passionate about using AI to enhance regulatory compliance, market research, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience with AI tools for document automation and data analysis (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Azure AI).
  • Advanced proficiency in word processing and document creation tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, LaTeX).
  • Expertise in data management, including metadata design, document tagging, and environmental data repositories.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across a broad and diverse team of project managers and technical specialists.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience in environmental services, with a strong foundation in regulatory documentation and technical writing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations, permitting processes, and compliance reporting is a plus.
  • Experience with environmental impact assessments (EIA), CEQA/NEPA documentation, or mitigation monitoring is a plus
  • Experience with site characterization and assessment, including environmental data management.
  • Knowledge of NLP and OCR technologies.
  • Experience and interest in scaling AI tools across companies in a dynamic, international setting.
  • Background in GIS/CAD integration and spatial data analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY:

This is a hybrid, technical-lead position blending AI-driven data and document automation with environmental compliance and reporting and overall organizational workflows. It intersects four major fields:

  • Environmental science & regulatory compliance (e.g., CEQA/NEPA, permitting, environmental data evaluation, due diligence)
  • Artificial intelligence (especially document automation, natural language processing (NLP), data extraction)
  • Technical writing and structured data management
  • Operational systems and responsibilities, (e.g., finance, professional services, IT, marketing, publications, business development, human resources, operations, and more)

The role requires senior-level experience with AI implementation, cross-functional team leadership, and regulatory alignment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the use of AI tools to automate and streamline the creation of environmental reports, assessments, and compliance documents.
  • Ensure consistency, formatting, and regulatory alignment across all documentation using intelligent word processing platforms.
  • Design and maintain structured data systems for environmental monitoring, permitting, and impact analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort in document preparation, data entry, and company processes through AI-driven solutions.
  • Collaborate with environmental scientists, planners, and legal teams to ensure AI tools meet technical and compliance standards.
  • Develop training programs to upskill staff on AI-powered tools for environmental documentation and data workflows.
  • Champion a culture of positive innovation and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical teams to ensure AI solutions align with company and project goals and community expectations.
  • Support public outreach and transparency by enabling AI-assisted generation of accessible summaries and visualizations.
