About the RoleWe are seeking an AI / Software Engineer to join a leading global technology organisation within the payments industry. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative AI-driven projects, developing intelligent solutions and exploring emerging technologies within a highly collaborative engineering environment.

The successful candidate will have strong Python scripting capabilities, practical experiencebuilding AI agents, and familiarity with the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

• Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and implement AI agents and intelligent automation solutions.
• Build and maintain Python scripts to support software engineering and AI development initiatives.
• Work with Model Context Protocol (MCP) to enable AI applications to interact with external tools, systems and data sources.
• Contribute to the development and integration of AI-powered software solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot, test and optimise applications to ensure reliability and performance.
• Stay up to date with emerging AI technologies, frameworks and development practices.
• Required Skills & Experience3–5 years of relevant software engineering or development experience.
• Strong Python scripting and programming capabilities.
• Hands-on experience building AI agents.
• Knowledge or practical experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a technical team.
• Contract DetailsDuration: Initial 12-month contract, with potential for extension.
• Location: Dublin, Ireland.
• Working Model: Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite, with flexibility around office attendance.
• Working Hours: Standard Irish working hours.
• Start Date: ASAP (will wait a notice period)
• Travel: No travel required.
