AI:AT – the AI Factory Austria – is making Austria a hotspot for Artificial Intelligence in Europe.
AI:AT is a joint project of AIT and Advanced Computing Austria. It brings together top-level expertise in high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, and data ecosystems, creating an interdisciplinary innovation environment for research, development, start-ups, and industrial projects.
AI:AT – the AI Factory Austria – provides access to cutting-edge AI infrastructure, promotes trustworthy AI and ethical standards, and serves as a hub for networking with national and European partners. The goal is to work with partners from industry and public institutions to develop and implement forward-looking AI technologies and viable AI solutions.
As part of the collaboration within the AI Factory Austria, the Austrian Institute of Technology will delegate experts to the AI Factory Austria. For our location in Vienna, we are seeking a:

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completed degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields
  • Several years of experience in software development, ideally in the HPC/AI environment
  • Strong knowledge of Python, container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps
  • Proven practical experience in MLOps: Docker/Kubernetes, GitOps, MLflow/Kubeflow, observability stacks (Prometheus/Grafana, ELK)
  • Experience with GPU computing and AI technologies is a plus
  • Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), AI agents, prompt engineering, as well as domain-specific fine-tuning
  • Experience with research and industry projects and/or knowledge of funding mechanisms and project financing is advantageous
  • Excellent communication and teaching skills in German and English
  • You should be eligible for working in Austria
