Work Authorization Sponsorship (H1B Visa): This position is not eligible for work authorization sponsorship Clearance: Public Trust Clearance (or ability to obtain) Job Overview: Cogent People seeks a skilled and motivated AI Solutions Engineer to implement cutting-edge AI technologies on a major healthcare program for the federal government. An ideal candidate is a software developer with hands-on experience developing enterprise cloud solutions using Python, Java, and AI frameworks, and works collaboratively in a large team environment. Responsibilities Lead the design and development of AI-based analytics systems for a major mission-critical program Regularly evaluate and propose solutions using new and emerging technologies Collaborate with senior developers and stakeholders for system integrations and feature development Conduct analysis, debugging, and optimization of programs to ensure optimal performance and functionality Perform formal unit testing and provide necessary support to integration and regression testers Develop technical documentation and participate in code reviews Stay current with tools and trends in software development, AWS services, and DevSecOps practices Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field 5+ years of professional software development experience 2+ years of hands-on AI solutions development experience: Implementation of AI functionality – RAG, MCP, Agentic AI Familiarity with ML concepts, techniques, and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Keras) Data handling (e.g., NumPy, Pandas) and pipelines supporting AI/ML Hands-on experience developing large-scale software applications using Java and Python, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Flask 3+ years of experience with AWS Serverless services such as Lambda, SageMaker, Bedrock Experience with relational and non-relation databases and understanding of data warehousing concepts Proven knowledge of Linux systems and shell scripting Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Self-starter with strong organizational and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, or similar platforms Familiarity with agile development methodologies AWS certification Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., federal government, healthcare) Why Cogent People At Cogent People, we foster a collaborative, growth-driven environment where innovation thrives.
