We’re looking for a Professional or a Senior AI Solutions Specialist to join our dynamic, customer-centric team supporting the AI solutions at the CU Anschutz Medical Campus. This is a unique opportunity to design, build, and scale generative AI-driven applications that support a wide range of enterprise use cases across faculty, staff, and affiliate partners.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Lead the design, customization, and deployment of AI solutions and using AI tools and frameworks.
  • Build and optimize prompt libraries, models, and agents tailored to diverse business needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI into existing systems and services.
  • Translate complex business objectives into scalable, impactful AI solutions.
  • Stay at the forefront of AI innovation, applying the latest research and tools to real-world challenges.
  • Guide adoption strategies and ensure usability and value for end users.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, feedback, and solution refinement.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Education, or a closely related field.
  • Substitution: 4 years of professional or high-level technical/facilities work experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree. Or an associate’s degree with two years of relevant work experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in coordinating or managing AI projects from conception to deployment.
  • Knowledge of big data technologies and tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Understanding of ethical considerations in AI and a commitment to responsible AI development.
  • ITIL Practices with a focus on customer relationship management
  • Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals Certification.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud) and AI services.
  • Solid understanding of AI concepts, including neural networks, natural language processing, and computer vision.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).

  • Applied knowledge of IT systems, frameworks, and a minimum of two of the following: education, healthcare, government, IT industry best practices.
