The Asia Pacific Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) advances the firm’s data and analytics strategy, platforms, solutions, capabilities, and governance to deliver trustworthy, responsible, innovative, and commercially valuable outcomes across the APAC markets and businesses. As a Vice President on the Strategic Artificial Intelligence Governance & Enablement (SAIGE) team in APAC, you are dedicated to driving operational efficiencies and supporting the firm’s AI/ML objectives by promoting innovation and upholding the highest ethical and regulatory standards. In this critical role, you will enable the firm’s AI/ML strategy, focusing on governance, enablement, and regulatory compliance across the APAC region. You will be responsible for enabling transformational initiatives, development and deployment of robust governance frameworks and tools, and ensuring alignment with both internal standards and external regulatory requirements. Job Responsibilities Assist in the development and implementation of AI governance frameworks, policies, and standards to promote responsible use of AI/ML, including generative and agentic models. Promote and operationalize the AI strategy for governance, enablement, and regulatory compliance in APAC, ensuring it aligns with global and regional business goals. Monitor and interpret evolving AI/ML regulations across APAC, analyze their impact, and guide the firm’s response. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and global regulations, promoting responsible AI and continuous improvement of governance standards. Drive adoption of AI/ML by identifying opportunities, removing barriers, and delivering innovative solutions. Support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of AI-related risks, such as model risk, data privacy, fairness, and ethics, working closely with risk and control teams. Be an active contributor in cross-functional project teams and develop best practices for AI/ML enablement and governance. Advise senior leadership on AI/ML strategy, governance, and regulatory matters. Build strong relationships with business, technology, risk, and compliance stakeholders. Foster a culture of AI governance excellence across APAC. Analyze global and APAC AI regulations and trends, developing relevant responses and interventions. Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and relevant technical experience in AI/ML governance, model risk management, or regulatory compliance. Formal training or certification on AI/ML governance, model risk management and 8+ years of experience in a similar role Sound understanding of the APAC regulatory landscape for AI/ML, including familiarity with key regulations, standards, and industry best practices. Demonstrated experience developing and implementing governance frameworks and policies for AI/ML. Proficiency with leading machine learning frameworks. Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and contribute to shared goals. A sharp analytical mind paired with excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills—enabling confident and effective engagement with senior leadership and diverse stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills Experience in the Financial Services industry, particularly in APAC. Hands-on experience implementing Generative AI, Large Language Models, Agentic AI, or AI guardrails. Familiarity with industry regulations and standards impacting AI/ML technologies Experience with cross-functional collaboration, including influencing stakeholders and working with diverse teams. Prior experience in working or managing teams in a global or regional context. J.P.
