Description

AIML Production Engineering China team is looking for an outstanding Infrastructure Systems Engineer with experience in Machine Learning (ML) infrastructure services and applications to work in local and global projects for ML platforms, model training pipelines and result delivery. DESCRIPTION Key words: Linux, Networking, Kubernetes, Python, Go Infrastructure Systems Engineer is expected to investigate new technology of ML platform, in order to design architecture and improve performance through cross-organizational collaboration. The role has a high impact and is essential to create the highest quality user experience for Apple internal and external customers. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Master or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent Proficiency in coding with scripting and programming languages, including Bash, Python, Golang Demonstrated understanding of computing, storage and networking in public cloud infrastructure, including provisioning, setup, monitoring, security operations, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Rich knowledge on data cleaning, machine learning model training Basic hand-on experience on Kubernetes, and Linux command line utilities Basic knowledge on infrastructure services, e.g. DNS, logging, LDAP etc. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Self-motivated and proactive, with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities Ability to identify problems in depth, distinguishing purposes vs. measures without confusion Strong sense of thoroughness, driving details, delivering running code, and contributing to the collective understanding of the organization Sense of speed and prioritization, driving what matters with constrained resources while delivering high-quality results Good communication with internal and external teams, in English and in Chinese Rich knowledge of ML as well as experience in developing real ML jobs Experience of designing and implementing systems to support ML applications
