AIRCONDITIONING AND REFRIGERATION MECHANIC – WERRIBEE, VIC

Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, are working with our client, a well-established and trusted air conditioning and refrigeration service provider based in Werribee. The company offers a comprehensive range of services, including installation, repair, and maintenance of various cooling and heating systems such as AC (ducted, split), evaporative coolers, gas ducted heating, and refrigeration (both residential and commercial).
With over two decades operating in the industry, our client prides themselves on delivering reliable, high-quality solutions to their clients. As the business continues to grow, they are now seeking a qualified and experienced Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic to join their growing and productive team.
Our client offers ongoing training and development, so this employer will enable you to stay on top of the trade. The role is full-time and ongoing with a great salary package in the range of $70k to $80k plus superannuation per annum is on the offer.
Location – Based in Werribee, VIC but they offer services across Melbourne’s western suburbs.

THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION WILL INCLUDE:

• Install and commission air conditioning and refrigeration systems such as split systems, ducted units, evaporative coolers, residential/commercial refrigeration and many more.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs of air conditioning and refrigeration components such as compressors, motors, condensers, evaporators, and many more.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications for jobs.
• Perform routine maintenance and safety checks.
• Maintain accurate job records and reports.
• Provide excellent customer service and support.
• Adhere to safety standards, following safety protocols and industry standards to ensure a safe working environment.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO POSITIVELY ADDRESS THE FOLLOWING ATTRIBUTES:

• Highly relevant trade qualifications (minimum Certificate IV or agreed equivalent)
• At least 1 to 3 years (preferably more) post training professional experience.
• Possess highly relevant required licenses and cards.
• Sound knowledge of AC and refrigeration systems, diagnostics, and controls.
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in diverse environments and meet deadlines.
• A can-do attitude and team spirit.
• Solid references.
