REQUIREMENTS:

  • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration or equivalent.
  • F-Gas certification (essential).
  • Demonstrable experience in commercial HVAC maintenance.
  • Flexibility to travel and stay away from home as part of the role.
  • Basic knowledge of other building services (plumbing, electrical, fabric).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for a reliable and skilled HVAC Maintenance Engineer to join our facilities management team, supporting sites across the Cumbria region. The successful candidate will carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a variety of HVAC systems and must be willing to travel and stay overnight as required, depending on site location and job scope.
In addition to core HVAC responsibilities, you will also assist with general maintenance and support across other trades such as basic plumbing, electrical, and fabric work when needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform PPM and reactive maintenance on HVAC systems including AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV units, split systems, and chillers.
  • Identify and repair faults efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to clients.
  • Travel across sites in Cumbria, with regular overnight stays required (accommodation and expenses covered).
  • Support other trades and assist with general building services maintenance.
  • Complete service reports and maintain accurate job records.
  • Adhere to health and safety standards and company policies at all times.
