Job Title - Air Conditioning Engineer
Location - Huntingdon, St. Neots, Bedford, Northampton, Peterborough & Cambridge
The Air Conditioning Engineer is responsible for the installation, commissioning, and servicing of a range of air conditioning systems, including split systems and VRV/VRF configurations, across commercial and industrial sites. This hands-on role requires technical competence in both installation and commissioning, with familiarity across major HVAC brands and a strong commitment to quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
Working both independently and as part of a team, the Air Conditioning Engineer will be expected to deliver high-standard installations and system commissioning while upholding Arcade UK Ltd’s health and safety values and contributing to smooth site operations.

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Strong technical knowledge of air conditioning systems, including split and VRV/VRF systems.
• Demonstrated experience installing and commissioning systems from Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Samsung, Midea, and similar brands.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and commissioning data.
• Sound understanding of health and safety procedures and RAMS compliance.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in varied and fast-paced site environments.
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive and problem-solving approach.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• NVQ Level 3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning – Essential
• F-Gas Category 1 Certification – Essential
• Valid UK Driving Licence – Essential
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations – Desirable
• Manufacturer training or commissioning certification – Advantageous
• Blue CSCS card, IPAF & PASMA - Advantageous
