Description

We are seeking a Licensed/Qualified Air-Conditioning Refrigeration Mechanic or Mechanical Plumber to join our striving team.
Our Office is based in Vermont, servicing throughout Melbourne, including a large amount of work around the Eastern suburbs, south eastern suburbs, and bayside area.
Within this role you will need to have a good to strong knowledge of all forms of HVAC Installations, fault finding and trouble shooting, all compliance requirements, service repairs and basic maintenance requirements.
Be self-motivated, excellent in communication and customer skills, competent and willing to be a team player and working on a wide range from small to large repairs and installations.
We provide a large variety of residential service, repairs and installations.

Successful Applicant must have the following credentials in order to apply:

  • At least Australian Certificate III in Airconditioning and Refrigeration or above
  • at least 5 years working experience as an Airconditioning and Refrigeration technician.
  • Red or White OH&S Card
  • Working at Heights
  • Victorian Driver’s License

Tasks of this position:
· Interpreting job requirements based on drawings and specifications and determining installation reference points.
· Operating refrigeration systems for testing purposes, inspecting mechanisms, and making necessary adjustments.
· Conducting drilling operations, mounting brackets installation, and cutting, bending, and threading of pipes.
· Installing and repairing various components such as compressors, motors, condensers, evaporators, switches, gauges, and copper lines for steam, gas, refrigerant, compressed air, oil, and chilled water.
· Conducting thorough inspections of refrigeration systems, diagnosing faults, and repairing or replacing defective components.
· Connecting equipment by bolting, soldering, riveting, welding, and brazing pipes, and verifying alignment and fit accuracy.
· Conducting pressure tests by filling systems with gas or fluid to detect potential leaks.
· Documenting causes of malfunctions and the corresponding actions taken.
· Evacuating test gases and fluids using vacuum pumps and refilling with refrigerant.
· Adjusting system controls and mechanisms and reassembling the systems.
