Description

Our client, one of Latin Americas largest logistics integrator, is currently seeking an Air Customer Service Agent for their Miami, Florida office.
Since 1996, this global company has been uniting technology, partnerships, and vision of the future to improve the cargo shipping business with accurate integration and delivery for their customers.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: College degree in logistics, international trade, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a similar role strongly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with logistics management systems (CW1), customs portals, and Microsoft Office.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Accurate and thorough in preparing documentation and managing compliance.
  • Problem-Solving: Able to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Language Skills: Additional languages (especially Spanish and Portuguese.) are an advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Shipments: Arrange and monitor the movement of goods by air and land, ensuring timely and cost-effective for pick up and delivery.
  • Documentation: Prepare and process all required import and export documents (e.g., bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin).
  • Customs Compliance: Ensure shipments comply with customs regulations and other government agencies, including tariff classifications, duty payments, EEI and KSMS.
  • Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing shipment updates and resolving issues.
  • Carrier Liaison: Negotiate rates with shipping lines, airlines, trucking companies, and other carriers; book cargo space and manage logistics partners.
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve issues such as delays, damages, or compliance discrepancies.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of shipments, transactions, and regulatory documentation.
  • Cost Management: Optimize transport solutions to balance cost, speed, and reliability for clients.
  • Tracking & Reporting: Monitor shipment status and provide regular updates and reports to clients and management.
